Edinburgh house prices rise making it perfect time to sell

In this ‘seller’s market’ in Edinburgh, there is a shortage of good property for the number of potential purchasers who are out there looking.

Edinburgh joins Bristol and Southampton as the areas "snapping on London's heels", and properties are turning around fast, so if you were in any doubt about selling property, think again.

According to the ESPC, house prices across the Capital soared by 7.1 per cent between September and November compared with the same period last year. And the value of properties across east central Scotland also showed an increase of 4.7 per cent in the same time period – with 17.1 per cent more homes being sold throughout the area.

If you are thinking about selling your property then it is useful to know that:

  • the typical time on market for properties for sale at McQueen Legal is 30 days (the ESPC median is 42 days);
  • McQueen Legal typically achieve 100% of home report value and 50% exceed that; and
  • we offer clients three transparent estate agency sales packages to choose from, with no hidden fees.
